It is my mission to provide exceptional medical care in a warm and welcoming environment that encourages communication and removes the barriers between doctor and patient.
“Every interaction is on a level playing field and I encourage my patients to ask questions. We are all human beings. Patients bring me their problems and issues and through a mutual desire for resolution called a therapeutic alliance we work together to formulate a management strategy for the presenting complaint.”

What to expect .
Your first visit.
My office is located on the 3rd floor at 153 West 27th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, suite 301. When you first arrive you’ll check in with Dorothy Stiso my office manager. Next, you will join me in my consultation room where we will sit and discuss the reason for your visit. A comprehensive history taking is followed by a complete physical. After the physical exam we will discuss any concerns that you or I might have, and a treatment plan will be discussed. A follow-up visit to review labs in person is then scheduled, usually within a week of the visit.
During most comprehensive visits I will require a list of important information, including:
• medical and surgical histories
• habits and sexual histories
• family history extending from grandparents to children
• vaccination history
• current medical concerns and illness prevention
If this is a problem-oriented visit, a thorough history of current complaints and relevant past medical history is taken. After the exam, a plan for how we will address the presenting complaint is formulated and discussed.

Travel Immunizations.
I am particularly interested in thorough preparation for foreign travel because I believe no one should become ill because of a desire to see the world. I follow the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta and keep all travel vaccinations in the office at all times, including Yellow Fever vaccine for which I am a certified provider. When you come in for travel preparation all relevant past medical and vaccination history is taken, a personal instruction sheet and prescriptions are generated, and any recommended vaccinations are given.
